wet and dry

Post by billy192 »

Just ran my T500 for 10 - 15 mins in the garage and the RH runs clean but the LH has a wet plug. Swapped the plugs and ran again and the same. Its as if the LH is not firing all the time. Will swap the coils tomorrow.

Could the mixture do this, the pilot is set the same and the float level and the Cir clip position.
Strange.

It could certainly be ignition. Take out the plugs, ground them and kick it over to see if both plugs spark. That would be my first step.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

Interesting, the left may be flooded. Hey, I just sent you a PM about the GT750L seat. I forgot all about it.

They may spark fine when you test them by hand at atmospheric pressure.
That doesn’t guarantee they will spark with the short dwell time of a running engine & at pressure.

Make sure you have a fully charged battery.
Some twins (T250/T350/T500/GT250) will run fine without a battery.
Others won’t run right unless the battery has a good charge. Often one cylinder is OK & the other is problematic.
BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more
