Has anyone had first hand experience with Cruzinimage pistons that are being sold on Ebay? The price is certainly great, but not sure of the quality. These pistons are for T500, Yamaha RD250 and 350, and maybe others. My thanks in advance for your help.

General consensus is that they are fine. I race with a set though the bike was not built as a racer and I realize that if I rev it too hard too many times they will probably fail. So far though, so signs of distress and zero seizures or pickups so far.
They are not Wossners for sure but the quality is far better than the price would lead you to think.

I believe the piston quality is good, but his (Cruzin..) work is known to have re-engineering errors. I can't speak for T500 but GT750 the piston space about the rod is wider than OEM. Does that matter?.. For the GT550 the wrist pin fit is loose... does that matter? I did not use these for couldn't answer those questions positively.
As far as the T500, I hear even the factory pistons had issue and skirts would crack (not sure if all years). I wish I choose Wossner's for example versus OEM when I did my T500. Mine will rev up well and I keep thinking skirt will crack at these higher RPMs
Sometimes you need to pay some more money just for peace of mind: makes the ride much more enjoyable.

I'm fairly sure the trouble with the piston skirt cracking on the 500s was with the old windowed pistons not the later cut way pistons.

I have removed a couple of cracked OEM pistons from 750s, so they do crack in time.

I bought a set for my T500 there was a lot of difference in size and weight, way beyond that of Suzuki pistons

I have replied to a simular post regarding cruzinimage 750 pistons.
In a standard motor they are probably ok.
But i would not put them in a tuned motor,
I have broken std suzuki pistons in a tuned motor and it's devastating,
The piston collapses.Hits the head. The gudgeon pin goes into the transfer port.
The rod eye snaps off.Finnaly the then short rod goes through front of the crankcase.

Now I am wishing I put forged not only in my GT750 too. I wonder if the reason the fatigue is due to the fact the piston are canted... thus skirt pressure not evenly distributed...
gunauthor,
Go forged if you got the coin! I would be jealous
I run Wossner in my Yams and have revved them up many times. Last I looked they still have the coating on the piston skirt too. Wossners stated Cyl clearance was not much more than OEM. My Yam top ends are quiet when running. Back when I ran Wiseco in various aircooled engines you had to go larger (you didn't it seized) and I hate the sound of piston slap especially air cooled engines. Then they would give you a bunch of clearances choices depending if/or how you ran the engine. I hear Wiseco’s are better these days.
