Suzuki 2 Strokes

I wanted to replace my GT750 cylinder head as 2 of the domes had fairly bad detonation marks. Someone has just asked me why it can't be used and, TBH, I'm fairly stumped Why is it a no-no? Slow burn? Hot-spots?

Emery cloth and make the combustion chamber roofs pretty again.
You'll not take enough off to make any difference to performance.

I'm with Alan if the damage is not very deep.
