Ok so thinking ahead, I have my T500 rebuild coming along and my question is should a 1975 M model have a grab rail or not? there are lots of images without but there are some with.
thanks
Billy

I got one because it filled in the gap between the end of the seat and the tail light.
Also gives pillions something to hang on to during vicious acceleration

The grab rail was an option available from Suzuki. It was not standard equipment.
Having one or not is a personal preference.

this was part of cost cutting by Suzuki.
the GT500 didn't have them either.
having said that they were available to purchase inc racks.
the 'L' models were the last ones to have them.

I've only had one on my GT750A for about a year...I think it finishes the look of the bike overall

I very rarely carry a pillion passenger

Mine was made by John (above post)
Cheers,
Roger
