Hello ladies and gents,
Not sure if this is the right place on the forum, but just wanted to introduce myself as I'm new to this board as of 5 minutes ago. Live in the Whitehall, Michigan area and am a lifelong, avid motorcyclist and love to restore and show bikes from the early 1970's. Mostly Kawasaki but just purchased the make, model, year and color bike I had while in the Air Force back in the 70's: 1974 GT750L. Rode it all over southern Mississippi (Keesler AFB) and southern Florida (Homestead AFB). Great times. Looking forward to bringing it up to riding standard and having at it all over again. While I consider myself to be very knowledgeable about 1970's 2-stroke Kawasaki's, I'm just a babe in the woods  on the Suzukis. Looking forward to conversing with you and learning more. Conversely, if I can ever help on a Kawi, please give me a shout. Chuck

Welcome to the asylum. Plenty of experience on here.
Hope you have plenty of patience, GTs will use it up in spades!

Welcome, Warehouse!

I'm originally a Michigander as well, little town called Fowler, north and west of Lansing about 30 miles.

Just FYI, I mistakenly purchased a set of Mikuni VM24SC carb kits for a Kaw H1, thinking they were the same as the Mikunis on a Suzuki GT. They're not, unfortunately. :wth:

If I can't return them (haven't heard back yet) I'll have them available for anyone that needs them.

Welcome aboard. The 750L is my personal favorite although I no longer have a stock one. My bike started life as an L, but it doesn't look much like that any more.

Thanks guys...glad to join the "asylum." PHPaul, I grew up in Lansing and worked most of my career in the Okemos area. Been to Fowler a few times. Think my wife even got her wedding dress there back in 1978.

If she did, it was probably at Becker's. Whoa, that's a golden-oldie! Haven't lived there since I joined the Navy in 1969.

Welcome to the forum Chuck! Red is a valuable resource in the West Michigan area and has helped get my bike back on the road more than once! We usually get together for a few motorcycle events each summer: Holland Blessing, Baldwin Blessing, Gilmore Vintage bike ride/show, Muskegon Bike Time. We'll keep you in the loop.
