Suzuki 2 Strokes

I have 2 different batteries here causing my dilemma.. I have replacements for both, but I am reluctant to fill the with acid unless I have to.
Battery # 1 is for my GT550. Charged to over 14 volts, it is now holding a steady 12.52. On the bench - no load
Battery #2 is for my GS1000. It's the one that boiled dry when my tender lost its mind. Filled it with distilled water and charged it to well over 14 volts. Now holding steady at 12.13 volts.
I'm fairly confident the one for the GT is usable. I'm not sure about the one for the GS being as low as it is. I should point out that the charging systems both work just fine. The GS is total battery ignition and suffers from a low battery like the GT's do.
So I need opinions. GT OK to use? How about the GS?

My guess is that the GS battery is dead. We had one like that on an FZR400. 1 year old battery that looked like it was charged but they were "empty volts". Push the button a couple of times and they all vanished. So we bought yet another AGM and keep this one charged regularly.

I know this isn't really an answer to your question but, just wanted to say , I coughed up the money for a shorai battery (expensive) and I don't want to jinx myself but that thing is freakin awesome!!!!!no acid and light weight as hell!! and I have had it for about a year and a half and I have not had to charge it at all!!! and I don't ride the gt750 that much anymore so it sits for about 3 weeks to a month at a time and that battery has not lost any juice! I got it in an auction on ebay, so I didn't pay full price but it was still costly (cant remember exactly what I got it for) I think I got it for $170.00 and it was new and came with the special battery charger (you aren't supposed to use a regular charger but I heard that might have changed now but im not sure) the battery is way smaller than original and if you get one it weighs about as much as the cardboard box it comes in,,,very light and cranks better than any battery I have EVER OWNED,,, but now that I said that watch it be dead now!!!!! damn it

For the 550 (and for the 380, a smaller version) I cannot speak more highly of these:

For the 750, I splashed the cash on a Yuasa YTX14AHL-BS and its been in for almost 6 years. Feels new when spinning over a cold bike thats not been run for weeks.

I'm seeing a lot of this "Doesn't ship to the US" Did we piss somebody off or Americans just much of a PITA to deal with?
That Yuasa you're so proud of was probably Japanese made. Yes? All the ones I see now are made in Taiwan

If you want a worry-free battery for the GS, I'd go to your local Interstate battery store and suck it up; maintenance-free AGM. It won't be cheap, but it'll last several years instead of several months. Interstate batteries are top-notch, with great starting amperage, and they last. I think the GT battery is probably OK, besides, the GT has a kick-starter.....so the battery is not quite as critical.
