I have over 100 of those little white silencing discs. Out of them, about 4 fit. The rest just fall out. I've decided what I'm going to do to keep the fins from ringing. Short sections of rubber hose. It's all plus. It's cheap, it's plentiful and it's black. Plus they wont fall out. These are sections of dark green transparent fuel line, but you get the idea. Of course they could be shoved in much further. I was just playing.

Some of mine fit "loose" too. I cleaned them up real good with white wall cleaner and a rag then used a dab of grey rtv to set them in place. Havent lost one yet.

r3tro74. How did you not smear it all over the place positioning them?

I used a toothpick to put a small dab on the fins of the engine (not on the rubber pieces) where I wanted the piece to end up, then push it in. That way the excess gets pushed to the inside where its not seen. Just a couple of small dabs one top and one bottom. I wasnt really shure where they were orginally placed as mine had moved allover. I studied restoration pics and brocures to decide where I thought they were to go.
