Bar end mirror suggestions

Post by jabcb »

Have bar end mirrors on two bikes. I think they are Empco mirrors.
Am interested in replacing them with ones that are convex & have a better view.
Any suggestions?

Look similar to the ones I have on the 550, they do slight magnifying lenses on them as my left and right are slightly different.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Yeah. The mirrors you got from me are definitely Emgo. A synonym of Cheapo. Can't say I've seen any convex. Then again I don't pay much attention to them. Too wide for my dinky garage
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Problem solved.

Got Napoleon AP-104 mirrors via eBay.
They are made in Japan, convex, black & look similar to the awful mirrors that were on the bike.

Uses a rubber mounting that expands to hold the mirror when mounted.
Can be a bit fiddly to mount on the throttle side because tightening down the mirror mount also pulls mirror in towards the handlebar.

Much like the Suzuki anti-vibration mirror mounts, the mirrors can shake quite noticeably at idle but are clearer when driving.
