I took the gt750 out for a ride and came back, noticed oil coming out of the little hole on the oil pump housing, I took the plate off and there was a small puddle of black looking oil in there, last time this happened I thought it was my crank seals and I rode the bike around watching to see where the oil came from, but I never had her wide open, just cruising, and oil never came out the top of the engine case, I followed the oil to the arm on the oil pump, I posted this a while back, anyways its the seal that's on the oil pump arm in the top cover of the oil pump, just wondering did we ever find out if they still make that seal???? I thought the answer was no but I cant remember, also im thinking this is really no big deal and it shouldn't hurt to ride it like that, but then I started thinking if oil is leaking there I wonder if it looses any oil psi because of this? another words it might not be pushing oil through the octopus at the same rate because of this leak?, but the leak is very small what I can tell and it takes a while to get a puddle in there,,,,also the oil is black kinda like the seal is going to crap and turning the 2 stroke oil that leaks there black.... sorry for the long post just want to clarify whats going on,,,,,,unless my crank seals are starting to go? but last time I traced the oil to the seal in the housing , not coming from the vent on the engine case...

Oil in the top of the pump that leaks out of the shaft is not under any real pressure - just gravity.
And if the oil weep is tiny, you are not losing much oil. I don't think we have a V seal, but O rings are available that will work for a year or two.

Had this happen on one of my T500's. Check to see if the oil pump arm adjustment has the pump slightly open even at closed throttle, thereby permitting oil to flow from tank. When I backed off the pump arm, the leak stopped.
