4 Wire Ignition

The question came up recently in the T350 post. Many aftermarket switches only have 4 wires as opposed to the super expensive OEM 6 wire switches. Converting to a more reasonably priced 4 wire switch is easy. At least it is on the GT550. Probably many other bikes also. The triples for sure.
All you have to do is bridge the 2 red wires together and the 2 orange wires so that only one red and one orange wire goes to the switch..No other mods and everything works the same as before
You will notice that the red and orange wires are hooked together by the switch in the ON position, You're just doing that before it gets there. Everything is still switched correctly, but without the extra 2 wires. Study this and you will see what I mean. The bridges / splices / jumpers needed are indicated by the blue lines
