What is the throttle cable cylinder for on 380/550 throttle cables ? Only thing I can imagine is screwing off the top and pouring in some throttle cable lube ? Or is this an additional adjuster by unscrewing it a turn at a time ? Or does it keep the cables from getting in a bind ? I sold my manual a little too soon I suppose.

On the separate carb models, it's for 1 cable in and 4 out, or 1 in and 3 out on the choke cable.

That's still doesn't explain the reason for the threaded cap ?

So you can take it off to fit the nipples in the slots or replace one cable at a time.
