Hi guys,
I am about putting my engine back together, and found some of the sris vavles not working, and one of them is
blocked, so I was thinking if i should blank them off? Do any have experience doing this and what speaks for it, and what doesn't?
Thanks

They need to be blocked off in two places - crankcase end and barrels.
On the crankcase, just use a suitable allen Cap head) screw with a sealing washer and maybe some gasket goo. The cylinders have pressed in fittings for the SRIS lines. I remove them and tap the holes to take grub screws. You can use a bolt or cap screw if you prefer and do not forget the one under the intake port on later barrels.

Hi TZ,
Have you blanked off your own and why, and does it have any down sides?
Cheers

I have done three motors that way so far and no downside worth talking about In theory the bike may smoke slightly more on one cylinder than the others, but I don't see that as a downside.

Thanks TZ.
Btw how do you remove the barrel ones? Grab them with a pliers or side cutter or drill them?

Pull and twist at the same time - pliers.
