I Give UP!!!

I give. I give. UNCLE!
About 10 days ago I put some oil in the injector tank. Not much - 6oz by weight. Then I bled the pump. Cleaning up around the shop and I spotted a puddle of blue oil on the floor. CRAP!!. I mopped it up and walked away from it. I can't stand it. What else can possibly go wrong? I can't tell where it's leaking for sure, but it appears to be a line. That also means I have a bad check valve I think. How else would oil get in the line? I haven't so much as turned it over since putting oil in the tank. I flushed an flushed and primed these lines a dozen times or more on the bench. Never the slightest hint of any leaks. The lines are primed with CCI which is green, I went with the blue so I could make sure the pump was working. I seriously doubt the oils is coming from under the pump. The 6 o-rings are new and the pump is tight. Everything was surgically clean at assembly. Seriously, I give up. Make me an offer.

Then again. looking at the photo, just to the right of the lines, I see blue on the pump riser. The oil in the lines is still green.

Must be leaking from the oil feed banjo bolt and its two plastic washers. Try a pair of stat o seals. I hear that Bloop has a few spares. :-)

Best I can tell, it's not leaking at the banjo fitting. Much as I hate to, I'm gonna have to pull off the air filter and the carbs. I wonder if the octopus has a crack in it under one of the lines?

Hi!

There are still those places for leaks:

# The seal between oilpump-head and -body

# The sealing ring of the shaft of the metering lever. This is quite common.
AFAIK there is no genuine spare part. You can fix this with a suitable O-Ring.
But it will not withstand as long as the original part.

# The connections of the oil tube from tank to pump. The oil runs very thin and very slowly down outside along the tube and then onto the pump.

Mark is correct. Leak from the top gasket is less common but the oil seal on the main shaft is a common problem.

See if the plastic fitting on the bottom of the oil tank is cracked......looks like it might be dripping off the pump feed line.
