It should be possible to use a pair of GT750 32mm carbs on a T500 to replace stock carbs, but jetting may need to be changed and that could be expensive.

What is wrong with your carbs? Are they the early 34mm or later 32mm type?

You could probably fit a pair of VM34 carbs from any other bike if you changed the jets, slides/needles.

I've 34 mm carbs. The problem is with the lowest part of carbs body - after the years there is full of micro, micro cracks and cause of that gas is leaking down on the engine, it looks not so good and it's not good at all.

What do You think? The rest is in good shape.

The 34mm carbs fitted to an early Cobra are very different to most newer VM34 carbs. If the float bowls leak, try to get a pair of used float bowls or complete carbs.

I don't think they can be repaired to make them leak free and safe.

If you don't need them to look 100% original, it might be cheaper to get a pair of newer 34mm carbs off ebay.

Same problem here, currently plugged with epoxy resin, but still weep over time.

I had found someone who was selling float bowls in the US for $60 plus shipping, but have lost the link. These guys seem to be selling something similar, but not sure if they'd fit -

Maybe give them a call/email with photos and see what they say

Those won't fit OEM 34mm carbs which have rounded sides.

I wonder if this is your bike: http://www.ebay.de/itm/161668374658" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In case you have a real T500 Cobra in your possession and you prefer original parts, I may sell a set of stock VM34's.

That's my bike. I'm not a specialist with t500, to be honest i'm fresh. I know my bike is a bit mixed like front brake disc from newest version, but what I found that engine, frame, etc is an old type.

Correct. VM34 for T500 are very different to small body VM34 for Polaris snowmobiles and very different to TZ250 carbs. TZ are aluminum, OEM Suzuki and Polaris are zinc bodies. Aftermarket carbs are aluminum.

Small body carbs have different needle jets and float valves and the float bowls look similar and are different. ARGO's crabs might be the way to go.

Cheers - I have VM32s with cracked float bowls, does the same apply to them as well?

By the way a quick google brought up this - http://www.williamlynn.net/lisa-brown-a ... o-species/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - pretty sure that's not what you meant. Who is ARGO?

Look a few posts up. argo1974 replied to this thread. Though I didn't know he had crabs. :P

Finding replacement bowls for the VM32 is easy. Suzuki only used the VM34 in 1968. From 1969-1977, they had VM32. Sold a lot of bikes in that time.
