Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
Hello,
I tried to buy GT550 piston on ebay cruzinimage. I can not (blocked?). I can't even ask a question.
Can someone in USA try to ask him a question on eBay and see if it goes through?

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
I recently purchased a RE5 gasket set from him, no blocking from here (Norway). Didn't ask anything beforehand however, and the purchase was set up so that you pay immediately.

I had no problems buying from them...VERY FAST shipping and responded to my emails. Why you cant purchase them could be due to your feedback rating. They may have blocked low or zero feedback (or negative) buyers (not saying you are any of those) read their listing to see if any of this applies.

I don't think it's my feedback rating for its 100% and bought a lot of stuff.
Never left him bad feedback either.
I was hoping someone in usa would attempt to ask a question on the GT550 pistons. You don't have to follow all the way through. I just wonder if someone else asks and if allows you to continue: You don't have to generate the actual question, just see if it lets you proceed to that point.

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
Not being able to continue sounds more like an eBay problem. There is no earthly reason why Cruzinimage would block you. After all, they are in business to sell parts and probably more than happy to answer any and all questions. Though nearly impossible, I think you need to contact eBay about the problem.
Post a link to the ad you are looking at. I'll give it a try and see. If I get through, then you will know the problem belongs to eBay.
It sounds to me you are blocked as soon as you click on "ask seller a question". Is that what is happening?

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
Could you try ask a question for one of their other items? It could be a problem with that particular ad.
And they often have the same item over several ads so there might be another GT550 piston ad too.

knut;
I tried asking a question on another item, still same problem.
I was hoping someone else would ask a question. Again you don't have to follow through. Just see if you can get to that point.
At this time I will assume he has me blocked and move on

As suspected, your problem is with eBay. I had no problems at all. I was on the .5 oversize set. If possible, try another computer.

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
Sorry, the seller is not accepting bids or offers from you at this time.
even on a different computer. I can only infer he blocked me
I bought four items of him over the past couple years. The first was GT750 piston set. I did let him know spacing was off and suggested he should update design next round (a final machine step that could be easily updated). His response was simply return. I did not nor left any feedback.
But, after that I bought a few more items carb kit, gasket set, Gt380 piston set. I never left feedback on carb kit or Gt380 piston.
I guess since I left no feedback he blocked me or some how he went back and the GT750 comment pissed him off versus being constructive.
c'est la vie

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
OK then. What's your question about the pistons? Anyone here can buy them for you. Those are pretty lame reasons to get blocked.. Makes me wonder about their integrity

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
I appreciate the offer. They were just to be spares for me. I was more curious about them and that motivated me to use the excuse of future spares. I like cast pistons more so than just the price. I think I can ask someone close to me to buy if the motivation comes back to me (funny my family isn't an eBay junky like me).
I am very surprised he blocked me, if that is the case, as it now appears. Maybe one day someone else pssd him off and he just went through his list of recent sales and started blocking people he did not praise him *****. Who knows
As far as feedback, its a shame he is not open to it. I am sure his supplier could easily make corrections like oil hole in wrong place on T500 bearing if true, etc. In fact, I am sure someone would send him sample if he needed it.
When I did communicate on my first purchase (GT750 pistons) I did so as a message only. I knew other were using them OK. But, the fact the gap was 1mm too wide seamed like a real easy fix to make.

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
More money ($93 dollars) wasted by me?
Got these pistons. The wrist pin simply falls though the piston as if piston was not even there. Push it half way through - you can rock it some side to side.
I am afraid if you run them the pin clearly will be spinning and shifting side to side in the piston and since that is not the intent that joint is going to become sloppier over time.
I suppose I could scuff up the piston inside were it accept the pin for a sort of knurling to tighten it up, but WTF.
My advice to cruzinimage (if I could) is have that fixed ASAP. Tried that once before and you know what happened. Shame on me for buying from cruzinimage co yet again
Take this feedback for what it is worth

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
Knurling may work, but I believe I would go a little under so the pin is a press fit. A loose wrist pin would worry me big time as it is slamming back and forth at the top and bottom of each stroke. I don't think it would take long to have a broken piston. If you can make it tight though, you can probably get by with it.
It's a real shame that you are blocked. He (they) deserve to get it with both barrels on that one. That sucks!`
I bought their brake lines. I haven't filled the system yet, but now I hear people are having trouble with them leaking and the junctions. (more poor machining).. I'll probably fill it this week. If it leaks it will go directly in the trash. I'll buy a single braided ss brake line in it's place. I will never understand why Suzuki made their brake lines in sections to start with

That's odd. The 550 pistons I bought were all OK. I wonder if he is having problems of consistency from one of his suppliers or maybe he changed sources.

Re: Cruzinimage GT550 Piston USA
Been a discussion on cruzinimage pistons over the Kawasaki triples board too. Various experiences, mostly negative. I remembers pins, clips and even offset was an issue. Then again others have had good experiences and have had no problems. So far.. Personally I wouldn't use these pistons even that they seemed ok, you don't know what happens when you put the engine under heavy load and high rpm.
