Allan is very protective of his 'trade' secrets. I found this out after going through a gauge cluster rebuild with him. However, I have to say I respect him for that. He is his own man and knows how to do stuff that no one else can, and likes to keep it that way. I am certain the man spent years and countless hours perfecting his ability and know how. And you expect him to tell you?

About gauge work ? No I don't for the reason you gave. He does do the best work of anyone I know, and I'm more than pleased to promote that fact on my web site. But this was about a label eh Chris ? Not a clock. Seems to me they are a bit different, but perhaps I'm wrong..................................Coyote wrote: I am certain the man spent years and countless hours perfecting his ability and know how. If its an original decal, then its own adhesive is fine, provided you carefully shape the metal decal to closely follow the cylinder profile first, and also absolutely clean the metal eg with brake cleaner.
If its lost its adhesive, the same trick works and I had good results using a few drops of two-part Araldite (cyanoacrylate stuff I think)
I'm sure other adhesives will work too.

It was no trade secret, I simply asked him why there was no adhesive on the badges. and if so use the one I told Ian in Ontario (T350 guy) about which was a post on this forum already.
