extra o rings in gasket kit where do they go?

so i have 4 large o rings in my gasket kit and i dont know where they were supposed to go. gt750. they are bigger than the 4 water jacket o rings between the upper case and base gasket. any ideas?

Funny you should say that. After a bunch of engine rebuilds, I find I have a large bag of those. I first thought they belonged on the exhaust coupling tubes on a J, K or L but they look too thick.
I also measured teh single ring that I presume is designed to fit between the crankcase halves under the bypass tube, but it is to small in cross section. The groove is 1.75mm and the O ring is 1.5mm and I have a few of those now that won't work. I use an old Honda O ring that I found somewhere and it's a better fit.

I'm guessing exhaust cross overs. I got 4 of those in a 750 kit. They were green. Never used them as mine was a B model and after I sold the bike, I gave them away to someone here.

This reminds me of the first time i got a gasket kit with a gasket for the 2 piece head included .. it had me wondering what the heck is this for

I bought a few spare O rings for the two crankcase halves where the bypass hose goes through and genuine Suzuki parts are over 2mm thick where the O rings in a gasket kit are about 1.5mm. I also found a suitable Honda O ring that I have a pack in stock that will work there.
