Want to get rid of some stuff......

Guys, I know I haven't been around in a long time. My job keeps me on the road so much now, and on the computer so much that I just completely collapse at the end of the day. I've sold most of the bikes and almost never ride anymore. I still have a lot of used parts mostly for GT750s crowding my shed, and I don't think I will ever build another one, so I would like to GIVE most of it away. I have two nearly complete GT750 engines, most of a TS400 engine, and several extra TS cylinders.
Truthfully a lot of it is junk, and probably should be scrapped, but I just can't bring myself to do it since someone else might get some use from it.
Here's what I would like to see happen. Someone bring a truck, and take everything I want to get rid of. No picking...take it all, pick later. No charge, thank you very much. I live just north of Columbia, SC off I-77. I'm not in a big hurry, but the sooner the better. I'm not sure if my email is still linked to this site or not, so reply or send me a PM if you are interested, and I'll drop by more often.
Come and get it!
Lane

Hi Lane,
long time no see, hope all's well with you. Unfortunately, I can't help with the pick-up being based in the UK

but all the best to you and yours.
cheers, Craig

Lane,
Good to hear that you're OK but busy. Wish I were closer to add your castoffs to those to Gordon Lamb that I'm still working through.
You did notice that my bike ended up being a close copy of BlueBoy. I even have a set of 34,, small body crabs that I copied your adapter idea on. Don't suppose you remember the jetting on those?
Do you still have that great looking bike?
Richard

Richard,
I wish I did remember the jetting! I could find out..... It's sorta funny, I needed to replace the intake boots a few months ago, and ordered a set from Paul Miller. Well, he sent the boots from a 72 (not what I thought I ordered), so they wouldn't fit my "adapted" carbs. So I removed my PVC/epoxy adapters and the carbs fit those boots perfectly. I wish I had known that in the beginning.
So yes, Blueboy is still with me, although somewhat neglected these days. I would like to repaint it flat black, but what would I call it then? I did take it to Barber's Vintage week this year and met up with Frank T and some of the Kaw Triples guys.

Hey Lane! Nice to have you around again. I Guess you sold the RD?

I did the same thing. I copied the PVC pipe/JB Weld/Dremmel routine to make it easy to swap them onto my L barrels and a few weeks later I got a pile of stuff including early boots and early carbs.
The small body 34 are not quite the same as a small body 32 and use many different components, but nothing too serious. I did try the 34s once and they just flat refused to run right, so something was way out of kilter. They have to flow better than BS40s which have that enormous ski jump/speed bump.
If you have a record of the jetting it might save me a lot of brass and time. Mine is currently in drag race trim and is a couple of inches lower than it was when Suzuki made it - about the same as stock sacked out springs I guess.

Yeah, I sold the RD about a year ago. It went to a good home.

Sorry to hear that you don't get time to ride anymore Lane but I'll always appreciate all the help you gave me years ago...when I was a complete stranger. You take care of yourself and make yourself get out and ride once in a while, it'll remind you of what you loved so much! The world would be a better place with more people like you.
Thanks,
jeff
