Brake Line Routing

Post by Coyote »

Sure I'll remember. Famous last words. OK. I know 'A' mounts to the lower triple tree and I know 'C' mounts with the front fender. Where does 'B' mount? There are 2 tapped holes on the bottom of the lower triple tree, but I think they are where the horn mounts and has nothing to do with the brake line. So where does 'B' mount?

B mounts to the right hand side fork. There is a triangle looking mounting tab that loop attaches to behind the fender ( not pictured ). The A end attaches to the mc and of course the C end mounts to the right side caliper. The piece in the A box attaches to the pinch bolt on the right hand side of the triple tree. That little B bracket needs to be on the end where C is highlighted held by the triangle piece. The cruizin image lines don't allow you to make an exact mock up of the original lines as far as the rubber grommets. You have to do some reconfiguring. Your old line looks fantastic. It doesn't even have rust on the fittings. If I could post pics on here of an example, I would. But, obviously I can't. I'd like to know what you are doing that allows you to all of the time, lol !

No magic. All my pictures are hosted by Photo Bucket. It's easy to use and it's free. Drawings, lettering etc. done with Microsoft Paint.
