caliper reassembly question

Post by mikefealk »

reassembling powder coated calipers gt 750. couple questions. on the piece of the caliper where the brake line connects there are little pins next to the brake line hole. do these face forward or back. trying to figure out which parts are right caliper and which left. and the long bolts that go through the pieces have like 5 grooves in them. i see two o rings per bolt. which grooves do they go in?

Pins face forward. They are for brake lines that have a titty on the banjo end. They are meant to keep the banjo from turning while tightening.
The o-ring grooves are obvious. Counting from under the head, skip the first one. The o-rings go in the next 2 grooves. Don't forget to grease those areas with caliper grease.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
