brake caliper gun and other fun

the front brake system appears to have never been serviced since 74. the fluid was sludge the hoses are toast, and then came the calipers. snapped off the bleader valve which was frozen in there. welded a nut onto it and the heat loosened it up enough to baaaaarly start turning. got it out! then come the caliper pistons which were corroded in there pretty damn good. one of them came out with enough pumping on the brake lever. the other one not so much. hooked up a fitting onto the air hose into to hole on the caliper. nothing...nothing...slowly...moving...slowlllly...bam. piston shoots across shop straight into flourescent fixture on ceiling. glass explodes everywhere. lesson for next time. lol
