alternate found

Found these at the local Ace Hardware. They are called snap bushings. They have little legs and are made to self lock in the hole. They will not lock in the shroud as they are made for a slightly smaller hole. Because they won't lock in, they will need to be glued in place. They are shiny hard plastic but I figure with a light coat of flat black paint they will look just like rubber
Total cost was $0.97 each. $2.91 for the lot,

Interesting.

The ones @ McMaster-Carr have a max temperature of 250 degrees F.

The shroud is isolated from the head with grommets and spacers. I doubt it will get that hot. Hey. If they melt I'm out 3 bucks!

I used a little localized heat and bent the prongs out that's supposed to hold them in. They snap in now! I sure hope they don't melt cause this is sure a cheap way out.
