Hi to all,
Been out on the bike today 200 mile trip to Scarborough & back no problem ..& the sun was out all day.
Bike seems happiest cruising at 70, any more than that & the vibes kick in.
Tickover is set to 1500 rpm normally, but straight after a motorway fast run it rises to 2000 until the motor cools down a bit which to me sugests its a bit weak on the mixture..or its dragging air in somewhere.
Bike is standard apart from expansion boxes on it & 102.5 mains. Airbox & intake are all standard. Its done 20,000 miles in all.
Not a big broblem but if any guys on here have any advice it would be welcome..I dont like the idea of it running weak.
Scarborough was buzzing with friendly bikers..Had some fish n chips & a chat then a good run back to Sheffield.
Tim.
Gt500 tickover problem.

Re: Gt500 tickover problem.
You could be right....maybe try increasing the pilot jet a size.
Keeping old 2 strokes alive !
