GT550 clutch cover removal

Post by Coyote »

Guys, I can't remember. Is one of the clutch cover screws behind the points plate? The fiche does not show one.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

While the GT380 has two fasteners under the points plate, I don't recall a similar arrangement on the 550.
Does the parts diagram for the 380 show the two fasteners?

No, nothing under the points plate on the 550, just the bolts around the outside of the clutch cover. The cover does sit on two dowels though. If after removing the bolts the cover is still tight you'll have to gently pry it off the dowels/gasket.
