is this Carburetor useless?

Post by Coyote »

This is the right carb I was looking to replace, but I need to know if it's necessary before I lay out my social security cash. Will this work the way it is, or is it trash? The left carb has some of this erosion but not as bad (more of the 'seat' is remaining). What do you guys think?

If the passageways (intakes, outlets) are OK, and so long as the needle jet seats properly, I wouldn't let that damage out me off.

Chris, That looks pretty bad but I agree with Mike that as long as the main jet washer is sealing reasonably well, the moth eaten parts should have no impact on performance.
