Hello guys!
I have a new to me GT750, where I want to start up the motor, to check its condition.
I am at the point where I am trying to prime the oil system, but I can't get any oil through the pump.
I tried spinning the output shaft, while in neutral and holding the arm in "Full" position, also tried to remove the bleed screw, nothing came out.
How should I proceed?
Priming the oilpump and pipes!

Re: Priming the oilpump and pipes!
Welcome!
You must be able to see oil through the pump bleed screw before proceeding. Assuming the bleed screw comes out then check its not blocked by taking it right out. If it still doesn't flow then either there isn't oil in the tank, or the cap is not venting (take it off) or the tube from it to the pump or the inside of the pump is blocked. Blow down the oil tank neck!
Then once you have oil to the pump, its best to lift the pump off (airbox and carbs off, cover off, three screws for the pump) and prime the oil lines with a syringe of oil. Unless the lines are already full of oil!
Then so long as the pump is working - and you can test that while its off but connected to the tank by turning it at 30rpm with a piece of wire through the drive shaft under it, and swing the pump lever - will see 3 fast and 3 slow delivery holes oozing oil or even squirt. Don't lose the pump drive pin or displace the 6 o-rings when you put it back (if you lift it off).
Good luck!
Mike

Re: Priming the oilpump and pipes!
With a missing drive pin, the pump won't do anything. BUT, it should still bleed. As stated above, take the bleed screw all the way out. It should make a mess in a hurry. If nothing comes out, there is an obstruction in the tank or the feed line.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

Everything tested OK today, I have oilflowing. Though when I took of the pump, 4 orings were missing.
