update. im still making progress. i dont get much time to work on it but all but one stud seem to be free now. one of my head bolts got pulled apart and broke off below the surface of the cyl. not too worried about that. another head bolt hole had the threads pull out of it. but its moving. up to almost 1/2" on the stuck side. everything else moves freely and will not hold penetrating fluid. almost there.. just afraid ill pull the stud out of the block like posted earlier.

Time to take out the puller and bash the block back down with a rubber mallet. Suzukidave taught me that trick and it really helps to free it up.

Try to keep the block square. If it tilts it will jam on the studs

Hmm,

That's not exactly next door to Chicago. There has to be a way to get it here - or to someone else - to take care of it.

If you know anyone coming this way, slip it into their trunk. What about Greyhound buses? Is that a way to ship it somewhere?

lol ill just put a sweater around it and a mask on it and pin a note to it.

there are a few in a boneyard here but the guy says they might be seized. how hard would it be to unstick them?

To unstick a GT750 requires the removal of the cylinder. Was that a trick question :?

Greyhound has a 100 pound limit so that won't work either

It would be cheaper to buy a block removal plate from Kris (durgam) and try that route.

Unless you happen to be passing Chicago any time soon on the way to Daytona or Mid Ohio

Did you try a tap and set of 11 bolts yet? That's how I did the last two. One did require drilling through the block and through the stud to sever it.

i think i have a solution. im going to cut the one stud that is hanging me up. pull the jug. then just pull the rest of the stud out thats in the block and maybe drill the stud piece out thats in the jug.

There's this border thingy just south of here that makes moving things north and south a pain, and also really expensive otherwise I'd offer :?

Derek,

That sounds like a plan. You will probably be able to press the short stud out.

Yeah, once you get the cylinder off, copious quantities of penatrating oil and HEAT will probably loosen the stud from the lower case and get you moving. A press, or other implement of destruction should finally remove the remaining stud from the cylinder.

Heat and perhaps some muriatic acid might free up the stuck stud. Good luck.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........
