I think i would take a little ride on the bike before removing the old grips , get it up to a nice highway speed say 60~65 and mark on the grip right where the top of the grip is at that throttle setting . I would put the new grip on so that ridge would be right on top at that highway speed to give your hand a little break when you need it .

Dammit :shock: Good catch. I thought the diameter was all i had to worry about. There goes 30 down the drain.

If they are longer, you're ok. You can cut the end of the tube off, slide the throttle housing and master cylinder closer to the center of the bike to accommodate. If they are shorter, yes you wasted your money.
