Part no ADVM2851125 Viton tip

Thanks! I will see if I can get him to ship to Denmark!

jabcb: Floats seem good, and I doubt two floats will fail at once, but I will recheck them :)

My supplier says that it is not possible to get repair sets for the petcock. Can any of you recommend other petcocks. Preferrebly a manual one.

Log onto German eBay - full repair kits are available but are very expensive.

72 T500J - 95%

I have/had an irreparable petcock. I replaced the four holed seal and the o-ring on the vacuum section, but it still leaked when the engine was switched off. I looked for and couldn't find a manual petcock that would fit the tank so went for this solution

http://www.vjmog.com/ftopict-8398-t500.html+petcock" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Basically, you plug the hole in the tap that is open when it is switched to prime and use that as the off position.

I carried out this bodge and it has been very successful for me.

It is very important though, that you remember to switch the fuel off every time you stop the engine as otherwise you can flood the cylinders or crankcase and lead to hydrolocking and expensive repairs. I reckon that should be petrolocking or gasolocking depending on which side of the Atlantic you reside, but now I'm being pedantic :D

I'm trying to order the viton tipped needle/seat assembly, but they (http://www.psep.biz/store/mikuni_needle_seat.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) only ship to the US. And they don't respond to my emails.

So I'm looking for someone to help me out! I'd send money by paypal or however it is wanted!

Regards, Lasse!

The refursbished petcock is crap. It literally fills up the crankcase. I need another one, I would prefer a manual one.

Anyone know the thread size, or where I can obtain a replacement?

My 73 GT250 uses the same petcock as your T500. It had the same problem. Even had gas dripping out the exhaust pipe.

I replaced it with a Pingel vacuum petcock, 6391-CHV. It comes with the adapter nut for your tank, but has a single output so you'll have you use a "T" to feed two carbs from one fuel line.

The vacuum version is about $160 on Amazon & the non-vacuum version is about $100.
You can get a non-vacuum two-outlet petcock directly from Pingel but I don't know how much they cost.

Reproduction Decals has a cheaper manual petcock that's $44.
Listed for the T250/T350 under non-oem parts, twins. (The T250, T350, T500 & early GT250 use the same petcock.)
