Here's one on that auction site we all know!

The one I got had two sets of terminals, which is handy for running a cigarette lighter (for satnav) and trickle charger permanently connected.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

No shippy to US

OK, is it toast? Started with a charge of 14.22. In 24 hours charge dropped to 12.22. Another 24 hours, voltage now checks 12.12. Opinions. Do I need to retire this one?

I put a small lamp load on it for 15 minutes.. Now checks 12.07. The wattage stamped on the lamp base is China 97 12VACP.

Maybe this strange battery I got off eBay (refer to page one) is going to be a good one. I filled it with acid last night. I let it sit for an hour before starting the charge. Just sitting an hour on its own, the voltage checked 12.56. Per other instructions I went ahead and charged it for 14 hours. That took the voltage to 14.2. Quickly dropped off the 13.1 and seems to be staying right there. And for a change, there was more than enough acid. About 1/3 cup left. I had one these a few years ago that was supposed to have pre-measured acid.. Well, there wasn't enough and I had to add water to bring it to the line.

Bought mine from Impact Battery in Kentucky. Both the battery and the company are A+ by me.
