Hi guys, I've almost secured my first T500 Titon 1972. I've posted on a couple of topics to try and get to the bottom of this potential problem. My questions are :
Firstly: When I run the bike up assuming it sounds ok and the gears don't whine I would hope things are ok at that point.
Secondly - if the crank seals are worn what is the thing to look for as a tell tale sign ?
Thirdly: if the bike is to lead a sedate life with less than 2k miles annually, should I be worrying about the T3 mod ?
Fourthly: if the mod is not carried out what type of oil should I use and quantity ?
Fifth point: are there any decent T500 specialists in the uk who could carry out work if required ?
Apologies if I appear to be repeating things but I'm trying to get a handle on what I'm buying next week ?
Many thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,
One (probably "The") T/GT500 specialist in the UK is Pete Odell. Pete haa been re-building the 500 engines for years both for road and racing. He runs The Motorcycle Works in Peterbourough.
