T500M Head Light

Post by mnellis »

Are headlight bulbs still available for the 1975 T500M's? Will a head light from another model fit?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement if the stockers are not available?

Recently a bud of mine was having a hard time finding a replacement for 73 DT250 Yamaha that is a rather odd size, he found one at the local NAPA store believe it or not. Might be worth a try taking yours in and see if they can match something up, couldn't hurt.

Thanks for the tip but, in this case it won't work. My late '60's and 70's Honda's will take a sealed beam auto head light but not the T500. It uses a a proprietry head light that has the brackets to mount to the shell as part of the assembly. I found out the hard way that you can not remove the bulb itself for replacement either. :)
