Tailights for GT380s over the years

Post by Scorch »

The tailights for the 380s changed over the model years. I have a '75 but I think the light on it is from a '74. Which years had lights with dual bulbs? The parts manual shows the 75 should have a single bulb, while earlier tail lights have dual bulbs. Is that right? I would've thunk the better dual bulb tail lights would have been on the later model bikes.... :?

The first two years had the two bulb unit, The L,M,and A had the single bulb with reflector (just as effective), and the B had the rectangular model with one bulb. In Europe and Australia the 380 continued after '77, and I can only assume they had the later light as well. My two bits worth. Cheers.

Thanks, Fred. I'm going to have to keep searching for a K unit, the one I have has two bulbs.

Update: I found a dealer who has this, so I should be good to go. :)

I have a new twin bulb lens if anyone needs it. It's made in Japan, but not Suzuki. What's on it is " CGC-47324".
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
