classic bike show.

Post by johnakay »

my wife and ol me went classic bike show today.
and I'm not kidding you the was 3 beautiful early GT750's some cracking T500/gt500 to.
there was one that had not been registered for the road  from new.
it had 1 mile on the clock and you can tell the difference in the chrome! nothing like today's even though it was nice and shiny.
took recordings of them all but on one of these fangle dangle HD camcorders. recordings in segment and I have to down load on the PC etc to get them in one recordings.f**k f**k why can't they make things simple.
its a good job I have my two sons to rely on.
might have well use my camera.
I'll ask my son to see if I can get some still pictures and post on here.
one thing I did notice on these early(black cone's ones) the the radiator grill had 2 bars welded to the surround crash frame, not seen one of them before.
probably welded the tubes themselves and re-chromed them.
anyway it was a good day.
a bit of me is taking an interest in the GT500 as they are a little cheaper to buy
If I wanted to make a life-long career out of
working with the mentally retarded I would
have opened a Harley Davidson Dealership

We will await the pics john as you can get them uploaded. For your reference, the 72 and 73 Buffalos all had the rad surround crashbar with two additional bars running vertically inside from the edges about four inches in.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

yes Mark
what made me think that these were add ons is that the welds leave alot to be desired, talk about spatter.and this was on both bikes. learn some thing new every day. cheers.
if all goes well I may make some of these radiator grills.
at this moment I can't remember who was going to lend me them over winter?
