Great article, Allen !!! An excellent writeup of how to travel on old strokers and the pitfalls to watch out for. I can't imagine trying to do a trip like that on the 550. I'd never get anywhere with having to stop for gas every 90 miles or so..... 
Come back to Calgary again, Allen, when you can stay longer and come camping with us on our BC ride in August. Fabulous roads and fantastic scenery......and if you play your cards right, you'd get to see the west coast of Vancouver Island.
