My classic group has a website at last

Post by MikeH1A »

You've probably seen a mention or two in my posts to the classic Jap bike group we have in my city. We've finally got our act together and put a website up. So, if you're interested in what biking downunder is like, have a look at www.cjmg.org.nz

Great site, Mike. Lotsa good looking bikes there. It's great to see a bunch of bikes like that out and about....especially the shots of the overnight ride. I didn't see any camping scenes....or did I miss them ?? Or were you guys motelling it ??
Half the fun of restoring an old bike is to go on those kinds of rides.
I can't wait for our 3rd Annual Classic Ride in September into Montana and Idaho.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. The first response we got to the website was from some kind soul who told us we had just "won GBP750,000" and all we had to do was contact him/her with all our details. We figure this could set our group up for ever and bankroll many a restoration :D :D

Rick, your last guess about accomodation on the trip was correct. Being gentlemen of a certain age, we opted for the creature comforts. (I haven't gone near a tent since my youthful days of backpacking around Europe  )

Terry, we managed to do it all "in house". Whilst on the overnight trip (and after a few ales) it suddenly occurred to me that one of our riders owned his own business so the subtle approach went something like: 'Hey, you own a business don't you" 'Yep" "So, you must have a website for the company" "Yep" "Well, we need one for the group so reckon you can help out?" "Yep" ... and the rest as they say is history 8)
