two questions .
#1 how wide a rear tire can you fit before it fouls on the chain or standard swinger.
#2 if you change to a gs110e swinger do you need to change the final drive shaft to move the sproket out to acomadate a larger tire.
thanks mark

Okay, I'm not a Buffalo but will try to answer your questions.

With the GS swinger I am going to use I will be using a 4.50 rim with a 170 rear tire. You may need to get an offset front sprocket as I am doing to get proper chain alignment.

Guess I answered this on the first question
"If you keep hitting your head against the wall you will eventually put a hole in the wall or your head"

1-7-0 My that's a big one.
With a stock swingarm, a 130 will slide in quite easily. Mine is on a 3.0" rim
I read all the specs for 140 tires and some look like they would work and some look like they will rub on the swingarm.
You could grind off and re-weld the rear 2 or 3 inches of bracing flanges on the inside of the swinger to squeeze a 140 in but I'm sure the chain guard would have to be relieved to clear it.

Mark.
My hot rod has an aluminum GS swingarm, with a 4.5 in. rim, and a 140 BT45 tire, with no chain interference. If Dave is running a 160 tire with no offset, that has to be the limit. Boy, that's big. The rear sprocket has to align with the front, regardless of the swingarm width, so the tire width is the deciding factor. On a stock rim, I think a 130 tire is about as far as you dare go. The alloy GS arm will clear anything that the chain will. Cheers.
