My suggestion would be for you to email a photo to Tian Chuan (goes by TC) at Pit Replica in Bangkok and check with him on what you are looking for. His email is "pitreplica2@gmail.com" . I had a similar problem in that I wanted to get the correct cover for my GT500 - he was very fast, the quality is good and the price was reasonable.

I have dealt with TC and found him to be quite genuine, therefore i'd suspect you will get your original covers back and a reproduction one as well.
Its in his best interest to get as many covers as possible for completing his stocklist and to keep his customers happy. As you well know theres plenty of persons around who would like a "free cover" and will go to any sort of trickery to try and get one from him so he has to be on his guard. You obviously got a letter from him by mistake to such a con artist looking for a freebie cover.
He will also make you nonstandard seat covers if you request something from him like an extra seam or taller side panels etc, i know this because i requested such on a cover and he made it with no hesitation.
I have looked at a few pics i have in my files and sure enough the 1970 TitanIII has the two seams on the back panel of the seat by the 'Suzuki' just like your does.
This would mean it was the way those particular style of seats were made for that specific year Titan.
By the way Fred how did you make out with the gauges we talked about,,, any success???

My own experience with TC has been good, so glad to see that things may have worked out for you. I personally will gladly give him more business, but of course everyone's mileage differsstrainer wrote: He said he would return my covers, somehow I have the uneasy feeling I have been screwed and may not see my originals covers..

Fred if you are wary of doing the cutting i'm here to help you if you feel the need to post them out to me. As you have discovered it is indeed a fine art of cutting clean while not melting the plastic and fusing the areas back together.
If you bought a Dremel i hope you got the model with the infinite speed switch and not the fixed speed switch version.
