dumb question

Post by doug rooney »

Awright, I know I should know this but on the T20 bottom case bolts, are they 8mm or 10mm? 2 of them take a 13mm socket and the rest take a 12mm but the thread diameter appears the same to me. Can't find the info anywhere. Thanks

A 13mm socket fits them??, those cant be original bolts. Usually 8mm shaft bolts have 12mm heads and 10mm shaft bolts have 14mm heads.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

NO, not original Suz. Paul miller replacements. Case solved I think. Caliper measures the outside of the threads at a shade over 7mm so I'm thinking they're 8mm even though the hexheads are different??

Stainless bolts are generally 1mm larger on the head of any given size. So if you have a bolt that takes a 12mm wrench and you replace it with a SS one, you'll need a 13 to put it back in.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
