every thing i remove is either worn, broken or missing parts, :(
its a wonder it ever ran. :?
when i removed the alteranator one bush fell in half and the other is only half there. :x
i have to replace the bushes ,
cant see how they come out.
do heat up the solder on the back.
i have orderd two from suzuki.

Correct. unsolder them from the back and watch for flying solder as the spring pushes the brush out and propels it across the room to disappear for ever.

The new ones have a long tail on them so you have to hold the brush at the right point and solder the lead in place. When it's done, the brush should almost push out of the holder but not quite.

It's easier to do it than to explain it.
