Fork dust seals GT500

Post by bombkawah2 »

hi,
as I have had requests for dust seals GT500, I had a small series in stock. they are polyurethane elastomere (each pair is tested up to a fork in my workshop). If people are interested, contact me at : fr.lavallee@free.fr

Nice job, I'm sure you will get some takers.

These parts from Francois are the only way to go. NOS may be better if you're entering the bike in a show. But you'd better install those NOS dust seals the night before the show, because they'll deteriorate badly in surprisingly little time. I bought NOS from Suzukidave (the one in the UK). A month later, they looked as bad as the 33 year old originals. A lesson learned about old, discontinued rubber parts.

would these work on a T350?
T200 (full restoration)
CL450 (on the go now)
T350 (sort of started)

No, The GT500 dust seals don't fit any other model. You have to wonder what they were thinking when they decided on the dimensions of those fork sliders.

Actually, they fit them on the '74 GT550. Not sure if they were on the '74 GT750 too but it's possible....
