Throttle Cable Routing 1969 T250

Post by Scaleracing1 »

I wonder if anyone can share the correct routing in particular for the throttle cables.
Bought a beautiful 69 T250 but they routed the throttle cable so it got crushed when turning the steering on full lock. So wanting to confirm correct routing. Then get a new ( NOS ) cable if possible

Did you ever have any luck with this? When I first got my '69 T-350 I had a ton of trouble with this too and had to search photos online and old articles/brochures for images that gave me some hints for how the throttle cable was meant to be routed.

I'm not sure if what I did is "correct", but I routed the cable down in-front of the meters and under the tank, above the coils. Then the three lines split down behind the engine to the carbs and oil-pump. So far, I haven't had any issues with this routing, but there's barely enough slack to make it work.
