If you need a regulator still, just buy a new one from Robinsons, part number 32500-18420, and only £16!

..after 18 montsh I just got around to fitting a rec/reg - a four wire job from motorcyclepartsstore.co.uk - a tenner.
Seems to work OK 13v rising to 15v with throttle. I was getting the impression that reliable starting/running was dependent on a charged battery and mine wasn't charging well I thought. Fingers crossed this helps. Needs tidying up obvs - didn't take out the old one yet in case it didn't work...

Been using quite a bit lately - about 300 miles so far this summer. Just back from a jaunt and it pulled 80mph on the clock on a Dual Carriageway.
- pretty fair I think since I never rebuilt/resealed the crank even, and it had been stood for over 15 years...
