Hi All
I'm trying to rebuild the front caliper. I've successfully blown out the piston with air and now I'm trying to remove it completely by splitting. The two (M*8?) allen bolts are seized solid however. Both hammer impact and air impact are having ho effect so far. Any tips or simply keep on with the plus gas and keep fingers crossed?

Re: caliper rebuild...
You could try heat and impact together. If you have no success I have a caliper that already has new seal and stainless piston for sale. But it needs a new dust seal. and the rubber o-rings and seals on the mounting bolts.

Re: caliper rebuild...
i had one like that, when those m10 bolts get stuck they REALLY get stuck
i ended up welding a m10 allen key to the bolt and using a 4 foot long piece of steam pipe to turn it. obviously this knackers the bolts up, but i had spares, so no real problem. after a complete refurb it was good as new
if you want any spares pm me
cheers, dd.

Thanks - all apart now. Just needed to get to a vice and a breaker bar.
