We are using a headlight from a small GS-series bike on the GT250 cafe racer project.
While working on that project I noticed an interesting possibility for T500/GT380/T350 flat-bottomed headlights.
Pic of a GT380J headlight.
Headlight part # 35121-33610. Rim part # varies depending on which bike you have.

The ring for the GS-series headlight is part # 35127-29610.
Attached directly to the flat-bottomed rim it looks like this.

Re: Flat-bottomed headlight bucket with a round 5.75” headli
Its not possible to adjust the headlight direction because the rim is recessed too much.
So I made little test extenders that look like this.
And the result looks pretty good.
This is just an experiment.
If you are thinking about implementing something like this, then you probably should get the GS-series ring soon.
Its NLA, but last time I looked some new ones were still available.
The other little GS-series parts you would need are still available from Suzuki.
The adjuster screw for the flat-bottomed headlight is too short.
The GS-series adjuster screw is shown in the pic.
Some fiddling will be needed to get it to work properly.

Nice back light the gaps with some LEDs could look cool.

Early GT380s have a round headlight bucket & a rim that accepts the flat-bottomed headlight. The rim in these pics is for a GT380J.pearljam724 wrote:I remember seeing those flat bottomed lights somewhere ? What model bikes had them stock ? I like, em.
T350s & early T500s have a flat-bottomed headlight bucket + a flat-bottomed rim that takes the flat-bottomed headlight in the first pic.
The mods in this topic will work on these bikes.
T250s have a shallow flat-bottomed headlight bucket. The flat-bottomed headlight doesn’t have any attached brackets.
The mods in this topic will NOT work for this bike.
Early GT750s have a modern round headlight in a flat-bottomed bucket.
Lot of other early Suzukis have some variation of these designs but I’m not that familiar with them.
