A couple of questions for the experienced

One: Is there anybody making the little rubber seal for the vacuum diaphram on these vacuum actuated pet cocks? diaphram seems okay, new gasket for the switch/lever, but it is still leaking by badly.

Second: Has anyone with the powerdynamo system for non-race, battery-less system, gotten the relay on/off switch to work? What 12v source did you hook it into? Got spark when it isn't hooked up, as it says it will in powerdynamos broken english resource site, but it may not stop with the key off, and no kill switch is my worry.

I am still at the phase, where I am trying to get the bike to tick over, getting pops and sputters, having the floatbowls drowned isn't helping, and timing the powerdynamo is frustrating when it won't idle even. Got other concerns, but that is where I am at if anyone has any helpful advice.

If the vacuum seal you speak of is a little round o-ring ? Go to harbor freight. They sell an awesome kit with dozens of small sizes for $10 bucks. One of the best deals I ever came across. Make sure you buy the metric and not the sae kit. If it's an o-ring you need, I'm willing to bet the size you need is in it. They have a size in the kit that's perfect for the oil pump injector octopus also. Kit came in extremely handy restoring my 750.

Only problem is those HF Orings are not Viton Orings and the fuel will swell them and fail.

You're likely correct. However, the kit comes with approximately 10-15 of each size. By some chance it fails in a year or two. Swap it out again. Some metric o-rings sizes are hard to find. Sometimes we're in a position to pay close to 5 bucks for a single o-ring we can't find anywhere else. In my opinion, the kit is worth it. But, I also agree with you.

Ha! It's an O-ring? Mine was so worn, I thought it was a specialty angled ring of some sort. Probably makes sense why it wasn't sealing now. Duh.

The O-Ring Store likely has whatever Viton o-ring you need for reasonable $.

If the diaphragm is shot & you want to repair your petcock, then you can get a replacement from a small German shop.
You send him your old diaphragm & he uses some of the parts to make a new one — this way its a correct fit.
