There was a guy in NZ that built replacements. Don't know of anyone repairing them though. Try a new ignition from ignitech.cz.

What bike are you working on?
If its a GT500/X7, then Classic Suzuki Parts in the Netherlands has a new replacement CDI unit:

BAS (Bike Acquisition Syndrome) - too many bikes but have room for more

Suzuki:

GT380 72
T500 69 project & 73 project
T350 69 & 71
Honda 85 CB650SC & 86 CB700SC

Also if it is a GT500, I have on this site the schematic and parts list to build your own. Locally sourced parts cost about $60.00, if ordered online about $15.00 - $20.00.

The Marcel unit is for the GT500 & X7.

Check the part #s for your X5 CDI unit & the one for the X7.
They might use the same CDI unit.
