Grace Lime Metallic (Suzuki paint code 278)

Post by hailwood1965 »

Okay, I was hoping to save my OEM paint. But after seeing this ... beauty ...

Where does one source authentic Grace Lime Metallic (Suzuki paint code 278) paint in 2016?

Thanks for the comment! That 550 has been running almost 2 years now and still going great. More details HERE and having 'issues' as you would expect with a 40+ YO bike.
IIRC, that colour is something like Peugeot lime green, and Ford do one similar for the RS range of cars but just go to your paint shop and they will match whatever you like.I wasn't sure about the green originally, but It grew on me and i really like it.
My painter matched it to an original headlamp bowl, so it's got to be very close to original.I also preferred the blue tank 'stripe' rather than the OEM green, as that's what was on a tank of a spares bike that I bought.
I still prefer it to the original green stripe as it stands out more and also upsets the rivet counters!
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
