Hi guys, thanks for letting me join the forum! This is my first post, I am from the UK and I am currently building a GT500 Café Racer. I need to get the wheels rebuilt as the rims are very poor so this gives me the opportunity to change the wheel/tyre sizes if that’s what people recommend.
Question is, what size rims are best to get laced on the hubs and what are the best size new tyre to get? Or is it best to stick with standard?

Re: Rim and tyre size recommendations for a GT500
We have built a number of 500 specials, and have always used flanged rims of a similar size....19x1.85 and 18x2.15. Shod with Avon Roadriders....
