I am fighting a similar situation with the center carb. You might want to follow the thread "still only runs on 2". Another thing you want to do (remove airbox AGAIN) is to check the vacuum on the intakes with your fingers. If there is no vacuum on the left, that indicates a bad crank seal (I think). I got the center to fire by------ well look at the thread.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
